Our Data and Sources

The record belongs to an exact program

A university may operate several campuses, divisions and delivery formats. We identify the institution and the specific degree together. Program names, credits, admissions rules, delivery requirements and prices should refer to that exact offering. A marketing category, concentration or optional certificate is not automatically a separate degree.

Field-level evidence

Each consequential fact has its own source and check date. A verified credit requirement does not verify the tuition or state eligibility fields. If official sources conflict, the discrepancy remains a research issue; we do not choose the more attractive value. Unknowns remain empty in the underlying data and appear as information needing confirmation.

Costs and dates

We distinguish tuition, mandatory fees and the combined amount. Per-credit calculations need the correct credit system and credit requirement. Subscription or term billing needs an explicit duration scenario. University estimates can exclude travel, supplies, living expenses and financing. A deadline is tied to its relevant intake; a date that has passed is not treated as an upcoming deadline.

College Scorecard

The U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard supports institutional identity checks using the federal institution ID, name, location, website and ownership category. Similar names may return several campuses. We review the match rather than selecting the first result. Undergraduate tuition, completion and earnings figures are not copied into graduate program profiles.

Occupational context

A government occupation category may include workers with several education levels and many years of experience. Occupational medians and projections are not the salary or employment outcome of graduates from a listed program. Any such figure needs its source, reporting period, population and applicable limitations.

Rechecks and publication

Changed records return to review. Older or unresolved consequential fields may stop a program from appearing in strict filters or from being published. The university remains the authority for its current offering. If you find a discrepancy, send the exact field and official source to our corrections contact.

Editorial Policy

Our editorial standard is to separate supported facts, practical interpretation, commercial arrangements and information that still needs confirmation.

How Recommendations Work

Finder results follow your stated filters and supported program facts. They are a research shortlist, not a prediction of admission or career success.

Report a possible error with its page URL, the exact claim and a current official source. We assess the affected fact and update its status rather than silently treating uncertainty as confirmation.
